Flutaҫao on the Rio Sucuri

Here you can see our brasilian friends Fabio and Erica, and Gary behind, preparing to do a flutaҫao (flotation) in the crystal clear waters of Rio Sucuri, whose name comes from a snake common in this area. Basically you just float down the river with a mask and snorkle and let the water current carry you through the jungle among schools of colorful fish.

I did take some video while in the water, so there isn’t much by the way of sound except for the camera running. Since this was my first time experimenting with the video on the camera, it’s also very short, we had a lot more to see and I didn’t want to fill up the memory card too soon.
