El Calafate II
“Spent the day exploring town. Heard live music played outside the “Library” bar, which has become our favorite place for mate (strong Argentine tea leaves), or a drink and a game of chess. For lunch we tried Patagonian lamb, which is prepared by slow roasting a whole lamb over a fire pit. It was extremely tender, but a little to fatty for my taste. It was served by carving pieces of meat which were brought to the table in a coal brassier dish.”
